What is World Health Day?

Each year World Health Day highlights a different topic of health that is a concern of people all over the world. Previously covering subjects such as Depression, Diabetes and Support for Nurses and Midwives.

It is celebrated annually on the 7th of April to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO). The health topic of concern for 2023 is TBC.

How is World Health Day Celebrated?

The WHO releases information, facts, hashtags, and social media content for people to share and raise awareness of the health topic of the year. They also run an event, with keynote speakers and subject matter experts to provide education. This is usually held virtually with the recording made available afterwards.
